1. Auspicious Muhurat (Kutup & Rohina Kaal)
Shraddha must strictly be performed in the afternoon between 11:35 AM and 12:30 PM (Kutup Muhurat). It should NEVER be performed during sunrise, sunset, or night.
2. The Sacred Pancha Bali (Fivefold Offerings)
Before consuming food on the Shraddha day, five sacred portions of food must be offered with devotion:
- Go-Gras (To the Holy Cow): Symbolizes nourishment and cosmic motherhood.
- Shvan Bali (To the Dog): Associated with Lord Bhairava and the guardian of realms.
